the tuck team

Jen Wilson
Jen found barre at 41, after the birth of her second child. Through a near-daily practice, she slowly put her body back together — but what kept her coming back was more than that. Barre gave her an hour of focus and intention, a rare thing for a working mom of two.

She's been devoted ever since, moving from The Dailey Method to Modus45 after relocating to Traverse City. Now she and the Tuck team are excited to revive the Modus45 method, weaving in both Pilates and strength to offer a full-body lengthening and strengthening experience..

Lindsey Hale
Lindsey is a bit of a jack of all trades, but she has had a through-line in the wellness space. Lindsey was a disciple of the original studio under Megan Madion and trained and taught there before taking over Modus45 and leading it through the post-pandemic years, growing the offerings, and building a cult-like following.
All of Tuck's instructors have trained and practiced under Lindsey's tutelage.

Kerry Marsh
Kerry has always loved living a very active lifestyle, and through the years has enjoyed a vast array of physical activities from Pilates and yoga to hiking, biking, running, horseback riding, and many things in between. During college, she worked at a fitness studio and taught aerobics, and for the past 10 years, has been an instructor at Modus and now at Tuck.

Recently, along with her husband Mike, Kerry embarked on the road to better mobility. Kerry, like many individuals as they age, started to notice that even though she was physically active, she was experiencing limitations in her range of motion, especially in her hips. As an avid equestrian, the tightness in her hips started to interfere with her ability to connect with her horse. Especially, with the beautiful style of horse training called dressage. She realized that if she wanted to continue, she needed to learn how to gain more flexibility. Recently, along with her husband Mike, Kerry embarked on the road to better mobility. She met with a physical therapist initially, and from there, attended and completed the Applied Functional Science certification through the Grey Institute in Chicago. Kerry will also be completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training through Yen Yoga in Traverse City, Michigan this spring, 2025. Kerry has taken all components from her various training disciplines to design a Mobility class that focuses on strength, balance, and increasing range of motion.

She loves sharing with others what has worked for her, so we can enjoy moving and doing all the things we all love to do.

Lindsay Bush Thomas
Lindsay is passionate about helping people feel strong, energized, and confident in their bodies—both inside and outside the studio.

With over a decade of experience in fitness and wellness, she works as a personal trainer and leads strength-based classes at Tuck, blending intentional movement with a supportive, empowering environment. Her philosophy centers on simple, sustainable habits that enhance the way you move, live, and feel—because lasting transformation is built through consistency, not extremes.

At Tuck, Lindsay also offers habit-based nutrition coaching to help members fuel their bodies, improve energy, and create aligned, long-term routines. In addition, she supports the studio’s growth and vision, helping expand what Tuck offers to its community.

Outside the studio, you’ll most likely find Lindsay embracing Northern Michigan life with her daughter and golden retriever—most often somewhere outside, near the water.

Amelia Sargent
Amelia is a dancer, choreographer, and barre instructor with 20 years of teaching experience. Known for her infectious energy, she brings a deep love of movement and inclusivity to her classes.
After dancing professionally with the Chicago Luvabulls and teaching barre and dance fitness ranging from boutique studios to Equinox, Amelia now focuses primarily on wedding choreography and helping people feel confident on the dance floor through Dance First Think Later.

Her Tuck class blends barre and dance-based fitness in an athletic, expressive, and welcoming way. Expect good music, clear cues, and a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

Amelia grew up visiting Glen Arbor and fell in love with Northern Michigan. After years in Chicago, she returned to the area to get married and moved to Lake Ann with her husband, daughter, and two Jack Russells in 2024. She’s excited to give back through dance, movement, and community at Tuck.

Leah McCallum
Leah has been part of the Modus community for over a decade, first joining as a client shortly after her daughter was born and now stepping into the studio as an instructor. Her deep connection to the space and passion for movement bring an authentic, welcoming energy to every class she leads.

Outside of the studio, Leah is the founder of Blue Orange Consulting, a place-based PR and government relations firm focused on supporting Great Lakes initiatives. Her work reflects a strong commitment to community, sustainability, and the region she calls home.

Whether she’s at the barre, spending time with her family, or exploring Northern Michigan, Leah brings a sense of balance, warmth, and local connection to everything she does.

Haley spangler
Haley is a Northern Michigan native who first walked into Modus to get in shape for her wedding - and never looked back. She quickly fell in love with the energy of the studio and now teaches the Classic Modus Barre class.
She married her best friend, Skyler, last summer in her parents’ backyard, and together they have a two-year-old dachshund, Franklin, who runs the show. When she’s not at the studio, Haley co-owns @cherrycoastevents with her best friend Leah, planning weddings and celebrations around northern MI.
Haley believes great music is one of the most important parts of a great class - so come ready to jam. She’s always down to get on the dance floor and bring that same energy into every workout.
